Your baby will only be little for so long and a newborn session is the perfect way to remember that. Every day they grow and change and having photos will help you relive those moments forever.
The ideal timeframe to photograph a newborn baby is between 5 and 15 days of birth. This window gives us the best chance to capture those sleepy, curly poses. After photographing 100+ babies, I am professionally experienced in newborn safety and treat every little one like they are my own.

Newborn sessions are done in my home studio where I have all the equipment and cutest props ready.
I custom make all the headbands, hats, outfits, crocheted toys myself so every session is unique and parents can request any theme they want.
Most sessions will last between 2-3 hours (some less, some more depending on baby) allowing time for set up changes, feeding, soothing and settling. Prior to your scheduled session, we will have a pre-consultation (either in person, over the phone or via email) to talk about your goals for the session so that I may do my best to create personalized set ups that match your style.
You will also receive detailed information about what to expect on the day of your session and what to bring with you to have the best chances of success.

After you reserved your session with Luba Cain Photography, please contact us as soon as possible after Baby is born, so we can set the exact time and date for your Newborn Session. Newborns are best to be photographed within 14 days post birth, that’s when they are the sleepiest and still in the ‘womb-like’ feeling, which makes it natural for them to curl up in these adorable poses you see.
